New Zealand
From a tiny British colony to a wealthy $170 billion economy,
New Zealand has evolved and developed dramatically over the
past centuries. The country we see today consists of people of all
colours and religions, living well along with each other,
peacefully and cohesively.
Particularly during the recent decades, New Zealand’s economic
reform has put the nation to a position where more interaction
with the rest of the world is experienced. Among all economies
who maintain a relationship with New Zealand, China has
become a dominant partner and source country in areas of
trade, tourism, education and migration.
Incredible natural scenery with unique culture, stunning purity,
and ultra-friendly local people make New Zealand one of the top
travel destinations on this planet. In the March 2016 year, a total
of 3.26 million people visited Aotearoa, of whom 377,800 visitors
came from China, 10% higher than previous year. Thanks to a
stablised Chinese economy and a number of measures by the
New Zealand government, including simpler visa application
process for Chinese nationals and improvement of signage in
Chinese language, the tally of Chinese visitors to this land of long
white clouds is expected to grow further.
